Students will examine some of the conflicts that have occurred in the last 3,500 years throughout the world. This class will study pivotal moments in Military History, to include the Persian Wars, Ancient Rome, The Samurai, the Crusades of Jerusalem and Vikings Era until the current conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. Our focus will be on understanding the causes and effects of particular conflicts as well as seminal developments in tactics, technology and the evolving attitudes towards armed conflict.
